A Glimpse at the MLS 2024: League Recap

First thing to remember in our analysis is that we evaluate all the players who played in the MLS 2024 (Major League Soccer – USA). Accordingly to our algorithm, LA Galaxy was really strong all year long with great performances. While LA Galaxy was the best team, Inter Miami also had great dynamics. As shown above, Columbus Crew has played really good football, with a Team Average Rating higher than the other MLS finalist: New York Red Bulls.

Best Players

In terms of the best players in the MLS, Lionel Messi still had unbelievable great performances. Equally, at a really high level, we can spot Riqui Puig: LA Galaxy’s Midfielder has been one of the most consistently great players in the League. A fun fact about this list is the lack of players from New York Red Bulls despite being in the final of the competition.

Best Young Players

All things considered, the MLS had a lot of Young Great Players this year. Therefore, it’s no surprise that this list already includes great players in the League like Carlos Gómez, Diego Gómez, Julián Aude, Diego Luna, Caleb Wiley & Federico Redondo.

Particularly in his second season in the MLS, Evander has shown all his quality on the pitch: after his 15 goals and 15 assists, Evander’s team was immediately eliminated in the First-Round/Play-Offs.
