In our analysis, we evaluate the players who played in the Primeira Liga until the 22th of March – included (2023/2024 Season). In other words, we evaluate and filter the best performers within a team with a minimum of 1350 minutes played. Assessing all the positions, we evaluate a lot of factors and indicators in their games that allow us to generate the ratings for their performances. As a matter of fact, in this type of analysis, the type of formation played doesnt influence or limit the ratings system.
In the table below we will present the results in regards to the players and teams. It is important to realise that there is likely to be a correlation between individual success and team success. Therefore, we can expect to find players from Sporting and Benfica with a higher average rating.
TOP PERFORMER PER TEAM: PRIMEIRA LIGA 2023/2024:
Regardless of this being his first season in the league, Viktor Gyökeres is the best player in the Sporting squad. In addition, we can see that this is the highest average rating in the league. Simultaneously, with a rating updwards of the 8.00 threshold, we can spot Ángel Di María. The Benfica player is his team’s top performer. The biggest surprise on this list is Samu. Although Vizela are in last place, Samu’s quality and performances are undeniable great. Finally, Kelechi Nwakali is Chaves’s player with the highest average rating, even though his rating is only 6.32 (a situation that emphasises the disastrous season of Chaves).
