This analysis takes into account all the matches played in the Brasileirão 2023. All players shown played, at least, 1000 minutes in one of the predefined types of defense.
In terms of the best performers, we need to emphasise Schwengber. The Brazilian goalkeeper of Bragantino was the top performer in terms of the GKs in this tournament despite fierce competition from Lucas Perri, Éverson or even Wéverton. Although his team didn’t win the league, Schwengber achieved the status of one of the best goalkeepers in the 2023 edition of the Brazilian league.

Ángel Di María – Midfielder/Winger – Benfica
On his return “Home”, Di María started the season out strong. Playing normally from the right hand side, he is a winger who enjoys coming onto his favoured left foot. With only an one year on contract, Di María can have a bad game but he has always the ability to be a “Game Changer”!
