BEST PLAYERS IN LA LIGA – SPAIN (FEB 2024)

In our analysis, we evaluate all the players who played in La Liga until February (2023/2024 Season). In other words, we evaluate and filter the best performers with a minimum of 900 minutes played in the league. Assessing all the positions, we evaluate a lot of factors and indicators in their games that allow us to generate ratings for their performances. As a matter of fact, in this type of analysis, the type of formation played doesnt influence or limit the ratings system.

GOALKEEPERS (GKs):

  1. Álvaro Vallés (Las Palmas)
  2. Álex Remiro (Real Sociedad)
  3. Unai Simón (Athletic Club)

With incredible performances, Álvaro Vallés is the best performing goalkeeper until February in the spanish first division. Playing for a promoted team, it wasn’t expected that Vallés would archive this type of ratings since La Liga has a lot of great players in this position like Álex Remiro and Unai Simón.

CENTRE-BACKS (CBs):

  1. Daley Blind (Girona)
  2. Mika Màrmol (Las Palmas)
  3. Jules Koundé (Barcelona)

With a great start of the season, Jude Bellingham has the highest average rating in the league. With an incredible high rating in his first season with Real Madrid, Bellingham seems like a clear star. In addition to his performances, we must also emphasise the performances of Isco since he revived his career in Real Betis being a key contributor to the quallity football played.

CENTRE-FOWARDS (CFs):

  1. Antoine Griezmann (Atlético Madrid)
  2. Gerard Moreno (Villarreal)
  3. Rodrygo (Real Madrid)

As shown above, in a league with incredible play at the top, Griezmann has the highest average rating in La Liga. As a result of his performances, Griezmann is responsible for a lot of Atlético’s offensive output.   2. Vanja Milinković-Savić (Torino)
  3. Wojciech Szczęsny (Juventus)

With good performances, Sommer is the best performing goalkeeper in the Serie A until February. Playing for the current leader in the league, Sommer is playing quality football being Onana’s successor after his transfer to Manchester United.

  1. Danilo (Juventus)
  2. Fikayo Tomori (AC Milan)
  3. Lucas Martínez Quarta (Fiorentina)

As a result of his great impact in Inter´s style of play, Hakan Çalhanoğlu has one of the highest average ratings in the league. In a Top 3 stacked with quality players, we need to speak about Matìas Soulé, the best young talent in the league even if there are more young players with immense quality.

CENTRE-FOWARDS (CFs):

  1. Lautaro Martínez (Internazionale)
  2. Albert Guðmundsson (Genoa)
  3. Marcus Thuram (Internazionale)

Considered by many to be this seasons best duo, Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram have two of the highest average ratings among strikers in the Serie A until February 2024. As a result of their great performances, this duo is clearly ahead of their competition. We must also emphasise Genoa’s Albert Guðmundsson, the player from Iceland that his having a great season helping Genoa in the fight from the relegation zone.
