In our analysis, we evaluate the players who played in the Premier League until the 22th of March – included (2023/2024 Season). In other words, we evaluate and filter the best performers within a team with a minimum of 1530 minutes played. Assessing all the positions, we evaluate a lot of factors and indicators in their games that allow us to generate the ratings for their performances. As a matter of fact, in this type of analysis, the type of formation played doesnt influence or limit the ratings system.
In the table below we will present the results in regards to the players and teams. It is important to realise that there is likely to be a correlation between individual success and team success. Therefore, we can expect to find players from Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool with a higher average rating.
TOP PERFORMER PER TEAM: PREMIER LEAGUE 2023/2024:
Regardless of his teammates having a great season, Rodri is the best player in the Manchester City squad. In addition, we can see that this is the highest average rating in the league. Simultaneously, with a rating updwards of the 8.00 threshold, we can spot Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes and Brighton’s Pascal Groß. The biggest surprise on this list is Ross Barkley. Although Luton Town are in the relegation spots, Ross Barkley’s quality and performances are great. Finally, Gustavo Hamer is Sheffield United’s player with the highest average rating, even though his rating is only a 6.16 (a situation that emphasises the disastrous season of Sheffield).

In the case of the Worst Performers, we see Ederson from Manchester City. Despite being the worst performer, he is having a really solid season. He is a player with a rating near the 7 mark. A rating with this value is associated with the best performers in the league. In the case of the player with the worst performance, we can spot Sheffield United’s Auston Trusty on top of this list.
