After a really good personal season in the Bundesliga, Moussa Diaby signed with Aston Villa (from Bayer Leverkusen). Being one of the key pieces in this Leverkusen squad, we can see that Diaby was one of the top performing players in the Bundesliga (TOP PERFORMING Ms AND Ws: BUNDESLIGA 22-23). Being one of the best Wingers (Ws) in the Bundesliga, it was expected that Diaby could have the opportunity to move to a different league. His performances suggested that he could move to a bigger club than Aston Villa but, this away, the French player will have the opportunity to play a lot of minutes. Looking at the average ratings obtained, we can expect great performances.
With the conclusion of this season, it is possible to make an evaluation of the players’ performance. To do so, we evaluate the player with above average ratings (+6) obtained by players born in the year 2000 or later. The choice of this year is due to the fact that players born in or after this year are, at most, 23 years old. In addition, to obtain a list of players with relevant ratings, we only present players who have played, at least, 1000 minutes in one of the predefined types of defense.
