In this section we present the European leagues we cover. Therefore, we have decided to rate and evaluate the Top 7 leagues in Europe: Premier League (England), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), Bundesliga (Germany), Ligue 1 (France), Primeira Liga (Portugal) and Eredivisie (Netherlands).

TOP PERFORMER PER TEAM: PRIMEIRA LIGA 23/24 #1

In our analysis, we evaluate the players who played in the Primeira Liga until the 20th of March (2023/2024 Season). In other words, we evaluate and filter the best performers within a team with a minimum of 1300 minutes played. Assessing all the positions, we evaluate a lot of factors and indicators in their games that allow us to generate the ratings for their performances. As a matter of fact, in this type of analysis, the type of formation played doesnt influence or limit the ratings system.

In the table below we will present the results in regards to the players and teams. It is important to realise that there is likely to be a correlation between individual success and team success. Therefore, we can expect to find players from Sporting and Benfica with a higher average rating.

Regardless of this being his first season in the league, Viktor Gyökeres is the best player in the Sporting squad. In addition, we can see that this is the highest average rating in the league.

Simultaneously, with a rating updwards of the 8.00 threshold, we can spot Rafa. The Benfica player is his team’s top performer.

The biggest surprise on this list is Samu. Although Vizela are in second-to-last place, Samu’s quality and performances are undeniable great.

Assessing all the positions, we evaluate a lot of factors and indicators in their games that allow us to generate the ratings for their performances. As a matter of fact, in this type of analysis, the type of formation played doesnt influence or limit the ratings system.

GOALKEEPERS (GKs):

  1. Lukáš Hrádecký (Bayer Leverkusen)
  2. Michael Zetterer (Werder Bremen)
  3. Gregor Kobel (Dortmund)

With incredible performances, Lukáš Hrádecký is the best performing goalkeeper until March in the German league. Playing for the team in first place, Hrádecký performances exceeded initial expectations archiving the best rating among GKs by far!

As shown above, in a top 3 with quality players, Álex Grimaldo archived the highest average ratings among the Full-Back and Wing-Back position.
