In this section we present the European leagues we cover. Therefore, we have decided to rate and evaluate the Top 7 leagues in Europe: Premier League (England), La Liga (Spain), Serie A (Italy), Bundesliga (Germany), Ligue 1 (France), Primeira Liga (Portugal) and Eredivisie (Netherlands).

TRANSFER TARGETS: SERIE A 22-23

At the end of every season, several players attract the attention of other clubs. This type of player analysis only displays players with an average rating above 6.5, which means that we only present players with a Good Season (6.5-7) or Top Performing players (7+). Furthermore, we only present players that played, at least, 1000 minutes in a predefined type of defence and position as well as players who only played for teams that did not qualify for European competitions.

PREMIER LEAGUE 22-23: TEAM ANALYSIS

With the conclusion of this season, it is possible to make an evaluation of the teams’ global performance. To do so, the graph below allows us to start this analysis about the Premier League in the 2022-2023 Season:

Defensive Process (DP): The defensive process evaluates the whole defensive work of the team. In this phase, the defensive indicators are focal for this analysis.

Expected Goals (xG): xG is a metric that measures the probability of a shot resulting in a goal, rating how good of a goal-scoring opportunity a shot was. In this analysis, it is important to understand the volume and quality of chances that a team got during the season.
